| From small and furry to large and steely | ||
The MODO BASICS course is a 5 day fast-track introduction to modo. It covers all the essential base level topics needed to get started in 3D animation with modo. T Day 1. The interface and modo's unique modelling paradigm. Essential mesh creation, sculpting and keyboard shortcuts, a look at the complete tool-set and the construction of custom tools. Day 2. Advanced mesh creation, using background images for reference, organic versus mechanical. Day 3 Deformers and sculpting tools. Giving detail and life to a model using bump and displacement maps Day 4. Lighting and texturing. How shaders are constructed in modo. UV maps and texture locators for positioning textures, specular highlights, transparency and masks on model surfaces. Lighting and shadows Day 5. Hair. Creating a complete textured model with lighting. Image ink painting and bump mapping Please be aware that there will be some inevitable timetable cross-over in the subjects taught over the 5 day period. Some topics may be covered earlier than scheduled and some later. Training on the 5 day modo Basics course is available one-to-one Training starts at 10 in the morning and finishes at 5 in the evening. There is a one hour break for lunch |
