Summer of MAYA
8 week advanced masterclasses
4 week masterclasses

2 week introductory courses

Maya is not only the most impressive animation system in the world today it is also, thanks to the recent price drop, the least expensive. It is our personal software of choice. It not only functions brilliantly (with far less crashes than other leading 3D software) but allows for imagination and ingenuity. At 3D3 World you will be able to see your most ambitious character animation come to life using this advanced software. Its procedural approach and scripting interface allow precise control over model creation and animation. At the 3D3 World studio we run it on a variety of Silicon Graphics workstations.

At 3D3 World we offer a number of general courses aimed at beginner, intermediary and advanced practitioners

.
All courses at 3D3 World include accommodation in individual rooms and midday and evening meals.

THE SUMMER OF MAYA will present a form of training in 3D animation that is radically different from its counterparts in universities and training establishments worldwide. It will introduce students of Maya to a wide range of talent in the world of media and animation including leading practitioners from ILM and LucasArts. The courses will provide technical mastery of Maya as well as a broad understanding of the nature and history of animation. The purpose of this special Maya course is not only to make the student an employable professional, but to give them the depth of experience necessary to become leaders in their industry. There are both 4 week and 8 week courses starting Monday June 8th and concluding Friday 3rd October 2003. There is one-on-one teaching in English.
