4 week multimedia masterclass The four week multimedia masterclass provides training in Macromedia Director for interactive CD-ROM design, Premiere for non-linear editing and After Effects for special effects and compositing. Additional training is provided in Photoshop for the processing of image material and Sound Forge for the preparation of sound for interactive and video productions. As well as covering the fundamentals of the software the four week masterclass will address the aesthetic and intellectual considerations of interactive design and video editing. Students are asked to bring an interactive project with them that will form the basis of their training in Director. The text and image data should be bought to the school on CD-ROM. A second video project, using non-linear editing in Premiere and special effects in After Effects will be discussed and shot while at the school using our Canon XL1 DV camera. Interactive presentations will take on a whole new dimension. Although we encourage students to learn the Lingo programming language interactive multimedia projects can now be undertaken by those with no programming skills. Premiere

Quick and simple non-linear video editing. Premiere is both a powerful utility and a creative editing tool. Total control is offered over both sound and video. It is the ideal companion to After Effects, the special effects programme. Your completed video production will be saved to DV tape, DVD, conventional video tape or to CD-ROM. Premiere is taught on its own as a one week Standard class or as part of our multimedia Masterclass. After Effects

The most vital tool for serious animation and video professionals. It can be thought of as the 'Photoshop' of the movie world. We use it to composite multiple passes of an animation, adding effects such as neon glows and smoke or simply producing animated GIFs for use on the Web. At 3D3 World we run the pro version of the programme with motion math and large number of plug-ins including the Studio Effects collection. The particle effects are particularly impressive and they can be used to create movies than can subsequently be added as texture maps in ElectricImage, Max or Maya.
